Security Consultant-Junior and Mediro profiles Permanent or Freelance Brussels (1 day on-site every 2 weeks) About the Role We are seeking skilled Security Engineers/officers to join our team and help strengthen the security posture across various domains including data, infrastructure, and applications. In this role, you will play a crucial part in analyzing, optimizing, and documenting security processes while ensuring robust governance frameworks are in place. We are hiring for both Junior and Medior level positions: Min 1 year (for the Junior) and 3+ years proven experience in security and ISO 27001 ISO 27001 implementer/auditor or NIS 2 implementer certification Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive security assessments across data, infrastructure, and application environments Analyze and optimize existing security processes and governance structures Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures Implement and maintain security management frameworks and best practices Provide expert guidance on information security matters to stakeholders Identify security risks and recommend mitigation strategies Support the implementation of security controls and monitoring mechanisms Stay current with emerging security threats and industry best practices Required Qualifications Proven experience as a Security Consultant in one or more of the following environments: data, infrastructure, or applications Strong knowledge of information security principles and practices Demonstrated ability to analyze, optimize, and document security processes and governance frameworks Fluency in Dutch at European CEFR level C2 Experience with security management techniques and frameworks such as: ISO 27000 series COBIT for Security NIST frameworks OWASP CIS Critical Security Controls for Effective Cyber Defense Professional certifications relevant to your area of expertise, such as: CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
