1. Nature of the main tasks Responsible for development and maintenance of software applications Development of front-end and/or back-end website applications Development and integration of software components Implement core business logic Creation of servers and databases for functionality Understanding and implementation of security and data protection Production of technical documentation Systems integration Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system Mentoring and supervising Developer Consultants Design responsive applications Design and develop APIs Participating in the design and creation of scalable software Taking lead on projects, as needed Maintenance of code integrity and organisation Writing clean, functional code on the front-end and/or back-end Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues 2. Knowledge and Competences Extensive programming experience Good knowledge of architecture best practices and patterns Good knowledge of application design Good knowledge of interoperability technologies (web services, message-oriented middleware, service-oriented bus, event architecture) Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly Capacity to lead teams and inspire others Deep knowledge of either GIS, Front-end, Back-end or Full-Stack development GIS Geospatial data analysis Provides support to Developers who need to interface with GIS systems Front-end 3. Certification and Standards N/A 4. Service Delivery The services will be carried out on a full-time basis at the Commission’s premises in Brussels (on site / Hybrid mode).Equipment will be provided by the Commission. #J-18808-Ljbffr
