The position reports directly to the ICT Manager of Apheon.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a solutions-oriented Junior ICT Assistant to join our team in Brussels. In this role, you will provide technical support across our European offices and you ensure reliability, efficiency and security of our IT infrastructure. You work closely with the ICT Manager to maintain and improve our systems, network and overall user experience.Your key responsibilities will be:Provide on-site and remote technical support for laptops, printers, phones and other peripherals.Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.Assist in the setup, deployment, and lifecycle management of new equipment and technology.Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance of IT systems.Maintain and update IT security documentation and compliance records.Collaborate with and report to the ICT manager to address complex technical issues and system improvements.Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT policies, best practices, and security awareness.Ensure adherence to company IT standards, data protection, and cybersecurity protocols.Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support to employees across all Apheon offices.Technical Skills and Competencies:Operating Systems: Windows Server, Windows 10/11, Microsoft Exchange.Microsoft Technologies: Microsoft 365, Active Directory (maintenance and troubleshooting), Azure, Intune.Virtualization: VM Ware or Hyper-V.Networking: Solid understanding of OSI model, TCP/UDP, VLANs; switching, firewall concepts, and network security practices.Telephony: Awareness of VOIP and phone central systems.Security: Familiarity with antivirus programs and cybersecurity best practices.Collaboration Tools: Experience with videoconferencing systems.ProfileYou have an Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification, with 2 to 3 years of experience.
