The European DIGITAL SME Alliance is tasked to represent and support the main driver of such changes in Europe - small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the ICT sector. Representing over 45,000 SMEs through its national and regional member associations, DIGITAL SME is Europe’s first and largest ICT SME association. Along with the rapid acceleration of Europe’s digital transformation, the Alliance is growing and in need of a highly motivated and hands-on Administration and Finance Assistant to strengthen our Brussels-based team

**Your role and responsibilities**
- Under the supervision of the Office and HR Manager, you will manage the organisation’s daily bookkeeping: incoming and outgoing invoices, payments, etc
- Collect membership fees
- Gather, prepare and dispatch projects-related documentation (Declarations on Honour, Power of Attorney, tax and social security certificates, etc)
- You will execute the accurate and timely financial reporting of a variety of EU Projects
- You will support the accurate review and follow up of budget and expenses, in collaboration with the Office and HR Manager
- You will be responsible for the accurate and timely filing and archiving of financial documents
- Act as main point of contacts during audits
- General administrative support (travel arrangement, office purchases )

**Requirements**:

- At least 1 year of administrative support or office management experience
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
- Comfortable working with number
- Completed higher education diploma
- Fluency in English
- Attention to detail
- Can-do attitude and strong motivation, topped with an ability to self-start and implement new tasks and initiatives
- Strong organizational skills and good time management
- Legally eligible to work in Belgium

**Desirable skills**
- Previous experience in a membership-based organisation
- Experience of EU Project reporting
- Good understanding of EU policies and institutions
- Fluency in other European languages, especially Italian, French or German.

**Work Conditions**

As our on Administration and Finance Assistant, you will be part of a young, international, and dynamic team. Our office is in the heart of the EU district in Brussels, easily accessible by public transportation. Since the pandemic, we have established a hybrid work model, where the team works partly from the office, partly remotely. Flexible working hours are also part of the deal - the Alliance’s organisational culture is result
- rather than control-driven.

This is a full-time, permanent position: we offer a competitive salary package in line with your skills and level of experience.

Short missions abroad within the EU will be possible in the foreseeable future (depending on the situation around COVID-19).
