For the Ardena Corporate IT team, we are looking for a Technical Application Manager.

What You Will Work On

We are working in a GxP environment with different systems composed of a database, one or more application servers and sometimes remote desktop environments. Your role will be involved in supporting the maintenance and growth of these systems on a corporate, division and local level.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • You are the point of contact within the IT team regarding the technical applications and main liaison between the key user and 3rd party service providers.
  • You analyze the requirements and changes request from the business and assist in the process to define priorities.
  • You will provide proactive advice on how to fully utilize the functionalities of applications and ensure that improvement opportunities are quickly identified.
  • You will ensure that all (key) users of the application are informed of the correct operation of the application, documented as much as possible.
  • You participate in the analysis, implementation and delivery of new applications together with the Business Application manager and the IT Project Manager.
  • You manage the day-to-day support (incidents, change requests, problems) to ensure a fast, efficient and customer focused service.
  • You keep yourself up to date with the latest developments and insights.
  • You will closely work together with cross departmental key-users in the business (Finance, Materials Management, Purchasing) as well as with the other Application Owners in the Business Solutions team.
Your Profile Looks Like
  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree in a business or IT oriented direction and you have several years of experience as a software engineer.
  • You have 5 years of experience with Applications within the life science or chemical industry.
  • You have experience with databases and remote desktop environments.
  • You approach the operational processes and projects with a view to creating added value and guaranteeing the continuity of the applications.
  • You are familiar with the Validation of Systems in the life science industry.
  • You are familiar with Business Central or Navision.
  • You are familiar with one or more of these systems: Empower, Labware, NuGenesis, Cognos, LabX, and Sciex.
  • You feel comfortable in a dynamic and changing environment, working at the intersection of technology and business.
  • You are eager to learn and willing to learn, wants to know what every button is for.
  • You are flexible, a problem solver and a team player.
  • You have an analytical mindset, and you are stress resistant.
  • You have good communication skills and are fluent in English (written as well as spoken), Dutch and Spanish is considered as a plus.
