Main Responsibilities

  1. Strategy and implementation of medium to large-scale PR projects/campaigns from A to Z.
  2. Development and design of PR strategies and communication plans in co-operation with other relevant teams (strategic planning, creation, content and production).
  3. Active contribution to tender proposals including research work, liaising internally with different teams, contribution to case studies and definition of KPIs.
  4. Providing guidance in the implementation of PR strategies.
  5. Acting as a trusted advisor on matters related to PR on an internal and external levels.
  6. Contribution to the development of new PR services and innovation of existing ones.
  7. Budget preparation, planning, monitoring and reporting.
  8. Regular contact with clients (mainly within the EU Institutions).
  9. Building tactics, engaging with journalists, stakeholders, content creators and empowering them to become multipliers.
  10. Liaising and working closely with our network of PR agencies to implement PR strategies and activities at local levels.
  11. Production of PR assets: multi-media news releases, social media posts, insightful presentations and reports.
  12. Coordination and follow-up with internal production teams involved in PR projects.
  13. Mapping of media outlets, stakeholder organisations and content creators and pitching by e-mail and phone (mostly in English but any additional languages is an asset).
  14. Implementation of communication services around events including overseeing secretariat for awards/competitions participation.
  15. Ensuring social media promotion and live coverage of events on social media.
  16. Monitoring of PR and social media activities and projects/campaigns' pick up.
  17. Analysis, reporting and presentation of results in dedicated reports and presentations.
  18. Coaching of junior colleagues.
  19. Ability to travel from time to time.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 7 years of proven experience in PR.
  2. Experience in tender proposals for EU communication projects.
  3. Excellent knowledge of English (oral and written) - any additional language is an asset.
  4. A keen interest in and knowledge of EU institutional communication.
  5. Good storytelling and pitching skills.
  6. Proven ability to develop and cultivate relationships with journalists, stakeholders and content creators.
  7. Proven experience in creating engaging content for social media, with a particular focus on managing and covering social media for events.
  8. At ease with Microsoft Office Suite, mailing and survey tools.
  9. Proactive, solution-oriented and can-do mindset.
  10. Team player, encouraging team spirit and promoting professionalism and positive attitude.
  11. Strong problem solving, analytical, organisational and planning skills.
  12. Flexible with a great sense of responsibility and adaptability to changing workload.
  13. Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  14. Coaching and mentorship skills.
