We are a key source of information on fertilizers and related policies, covering topics such as climate policy, energy policy, agriculture, environment, technology, and safety. We also support our members through data, statistics, and sectoral analysis.Contract type: Paid traineeship under a Belgian Convention d'Immersion ProfessionnelleLocation: Brussels, BelgiumWorking time: Full-timeDuration: 6 months to 1 yearStarting date: 1 February 2026What You'll GainHands-on experience in a European and international policy settingDirect exposure to EU climate, energy and sustainability policiesThe chance to work alongside a truly multidisciplinary team, including chemists, engineers, agronomists, economists, statisticians, and policy specialistsWhat You'll DoSupport the drafting of policy papers, briefings, and analyses on climate, energy and agricultural legislationFollow EU policy developments and help translate them into clear updates for membersInteract with member companies and European stakeholdersTake part in committees, working groups, and ongoing projectsWhat You BringA degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, sustainability, or a related fieldAn interest in (and basic understanding of) energy-intensive industriesFamiliarity with EU institutions and policy-making processesSolid Microsoft Office skillsVery good written and spoken English; additional European languages are an assetKnowledge of agricultural emissions is a plusHow You WorkComfortable working independently while being a reliable team playerProactive, organised, and able to manage several tasks and deadlines at the same timeHow to ApplyPlease submit your CV and motivation letter to jenny@fertilizerseurope.com by 15 January 2026.Applications without a motivation letter will not be considered
