ENVIRONMENT RESEARCH OFFICER (with travel)FUNCTION: Shape the Future of Environmental Policy with Daikin EuropeAre you passionate about sustainability, tech innovation, and making a real impact? At Daikin Europe’s Environment Research Center (ERC), you’ll be at the forefront of shaping how our products and business respond to evolving European and national policies.What You’ll Do?Drive Change: You’ll research and advocate for policies and standards that influence everything from energy efficiency and circularity to electrification and carbon neutrality.Work on What Matters: Projects range from ecodesign and energy labelling to emissions trading and smart grid connectivity—real-world issues that shape the future.Explore Emerging Tech: We’re especially looking for people curious about IoT, AI, and electrification—how these technologies intersect with policy and sustainability and the HVACR sector.How you'll work? Collaborate Across Borders: You’ll be part of a diverse, dynamic team that connects with all parts of Daikin to understand and influence the bigger picture.Be Where Decisions Happen: You’ll engage with European institutions, trade associations, and expert platforms—sharing Daikin’s vision and helping shape tomorrow’s standards.Grow Your Voice: From attending stakeholder meetings to contributing to international standardization bodies (CEN/CENELEC, ISO/IEC), your insights will help guide policy and innovation.Why It Matters? You’ll be part of Daikin’s journey to carbon neutrality by 2050—translating vision into action and making sure our voice is heard where it counts.PROFILE: You hold a master’s diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in similar functions.You have a strong interest in European Policies, regulations and standards and the influence of that on company business, technologies and strategies.You like to engage with people. As a diplomatic person, you have good social and communicative skills.You are learning-minded, work in a pro-active and punctual way, independently as well as in a team.Konwledge of HVAC sector is a plusGood knowledge of English is necessary.Travelling is an essential part of the job.Knowledge of other languages is a bonus.
