SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST - LEUVEN REGION (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITIONThe Supply Chain Specialist plays a key role in managing and optimizing end-to-end supply chain operations to support customer demand, sales commitments, and production requirements. This position is responsible for coordinating order and sales support, executing operational purchasing activities, and ensuring material availability to enable efficient production planning. Working closely with Sales, Production Planning, Operations, and external suppliers, the Supply Chain Specialist ensures timely order fulfillment, cost-effective procurement, and balanced inventory levels.The role focuses not only on daily execution but also on continuous improvement of supply chain processes, data accuracy, and performance. The Supply Chain Specialist actively identifies risks, constraints, and optimization opportunities across demand, supply, and inventory, contributing to improved service levels, operational efficiency, and supply chain resilience.ResponsibilitiesManage customer orders from receipt through fulfillment, ensuring accuracy, availability, and on-time deliveryServe as a supply chain liaison for Sales, providing clear visibility on lead times, inventory levels, and delivery feasibilityTranslate sales demand into supply and material requirements while highlighting constraints and risksSupport order prioritization and allocation decisions during capacity or supply limitationsExecute day-to-day purchasing of raw materials, components, and operational supplies in alignment with demand and production plansCreate, maintain, and track purchase orders, ensuring supplier confirmations, delivery dates, and quantities are metMaintain accurate purchasing, supplier, and material master data within ERP/MRP systemsProactively resolve supply disruptions, shortages, and delivery delays in collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholdersEnsure timely availability of materials and components to support production schedulesCollaborate with Production Planning to align purchasing activities with capacity plans and manufacturing prioritiesSupport planning for demand changes, new product introductions, and engineering or specification changesIdentify and mitigate material-related risks that could impact production continuity or efficiencyAnalyze inventory levels, demand variability, and supplier performance to identify improvement opportunitiesSupport initiatives to optimize inventory, reduce lead times, and improve service levels while controlling costsTrack and report key supply chain KPIs, including service level, inventory turnover, and supplier reliabilityContribute to continuous improvement projects aimed at strengthening planning accuracy, purchasing efficiency, and overall supply chain performanceQualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations, or a related fieldExperience in supply chain, purchasing, planning, or operations (level adjusted based on role seniority)Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, and supply chain planning principlesProficiency with ERP/MRP systems and strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel usageAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environmentStrong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skillsThe Offer:A permanent, full-time employment contractA salary & benefits package commensurate with experiencePlease send over your CV to tom.walker@vividresourcing.com or call me on +32 (0) 3 318 00 74.
