Essensys is mandated by an international organization active in a highly regulated and fraud-sensitive industry. With headquarters in Antwerp and rapidly growing operations in The Middle East and India, the company is currently expanding its footprint with new branches across Mumbai and other regions such as Dubai. The Indian entity counts over two hundred employees and plays a critical role in the global operations. The organization is in the process of implementing a new ERP system and seeks to strengthen financial control and transparency across its local activities. Role We are looking for a Finance Manager to be based in Mumbai. The role is central to ensuring robust financial controlling, transparent reporting, and alignment between local operations and the group's finance leadership. The Finance Manager will report directly to the Group CFO, with a dotted line to the local Managing Director in India. Responsibilities • Lead financial controlling and reporting for the Indian operations, ensuring transparency and compliance. • Oversee the implementation and optimization of the ERP system and its integration with local operations. • Monitor and analyze financial performance of the local branches, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to group headquarters. • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax, and regulatory requirements, in close collaboration with local finance staff and external advisors. • Act as a trusted sparring partner to both local management and the Group CFO, providing insights to support strategic decisions. Supervise and coach a team of five finance professionals responsible for operational finance. Experience • Minimum 15 years of senior finance experience, ideally with prior Finance Manager responsibilities in an international context, preferably in South Asia. • Strong background in financial controlling, reporting, and ERP/finance systems. Familiarity with Indian accounting regulations and taxation is an asset, but not a requirement (local expertise available). For this role, it is essential to relocate to India, Mumbai, with relocation support and an allocated budget provided.
