Finance Manager Europe – Financieel Manager Europa (Belgium) Our client is an international technology company based in Belgium, specialized in advanced manufacturing and recognized for its expertise in precision production technologies. The company designs both innovative equipment and customized components for clients in the industrial, medical, and aerospace sectors. They are looking to hire a Finance Manager to support financial oversight and compliance across several European entities. You will act as the right-hand person to the VP Finance Europe, working closely with them and reporting directly. You will oversee statutory and US GAAP reporting, ensure robust internal controls, and contribute to continuous improvement of accounting and close processes. You will manage a small team of 2 people and work closely with local finance, shared service centers and cross-functional stakeholders across EMEA. This is a hands-on finance leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with business partnering, process optimization, and team development. Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential for this role. The role is based in Belgium. Main Responsibilities Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for European entities, ensuring full US GAAP and statutory compliance. Oversee accounting close processes and lead end-to-end audits for ~15 European entities. Serve as key contact for auditors, tax advisors, accounting firms, and local authorities. Drive process improvements, internal control strengthening, and automation initiatives across the region. Take a hands-on approach to daily finance operations. Lead and develop a small finance team and collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Operations. Contribute to EMEA-wide finance transformation projects and support internal M&A activities (integration, due diligence, compliance). Key Requirements Proven experience in controllership / accounting / audit within an international environment. Solid knowledge of an European GAAP plus local statutory requirements and an accounting qualification. US-GAAP knowledge is a strong asset. Experience with multi-entity, multi-country environments (ideally within EMEA). Fluent in English (spoken and written) and any additional European language is a plus (German/Dutch/French) Salary & Benefits Up to 90k€/year depending on profile & experience Bonus: up to 15%, based on company targets.
