The European Network Against Racism (ENAR aisbl) is the only pan-European anti-racism network that combines advocacy for racial equality and facilitating cooperation among civil society anti-racism actors in Europe.

Our staff is based in our Secretariat in Brussels and our member organisations are based all over Europe.
To support our work to achieve positive systemic change to build an inclusive Europe, we are looking to recruit a passionate and talented Network Development Officer (NDO) to develop, manage and implement the network development strategy, which puts a priority on building a dynamic membership by supporting active engagement, solidarity and collective action among members and within the ENAR structure and in support of ENAR's strategic objectives.

The NDO is also in charge of conceptualising and implementing membership engagement, alignment, and capacity building strategies for ENAR's members organisations.
They service and maintain contact with ENAR members and strive to develop and improve ENAR's membership in the framework of the network development strategy.
They support the empowerment of members, for example, by designing and implementing capacity building and other training schemes, with the support and input of colleagues and Members.
They provide network support to re-granting programmes for members' activities and capacity building, such as the Empowerment and Resilience Fund.
They engage with members to stay updated about national/local political and social issues, as well as any organisational issues.
They inform the management, colleagues and Board Members on a regular basis on the state of ENAR's network and its membership.
They work in close cooperation with the Communications department to develop creative communication tools to engage and inform Members, such as the internal newsletter for ENAR members, blogs, videos, etc., to facilitate communication among Members, and to give visibility to members' work.
Primary responsibilities
- Implement the network development strategy and support the membership active engagement in the strategic plan process of ENAR.
- Map capacity building needs of members and design and implement training seminars or relevant meetings.
- 4Facilitate digital and physical meetings and trainings using creative and inclusive participatory methods.
- Support and promote active engagement of members within the ENAR network structure.
- Enhance and promote ENAR membership at the regional and national levels.
- Monitor and update members about funding opportunities that may be relevant for the membership.
- Provide network support to the membership regranting and capacity building schemes according to available budget and inform the strategic development of the Network about the Members' needs and expectations.
- Support the Major Events working group with organisation of activities requiring broad membership participation.
- Maintain a high situational awareness of members' activities, expertise and needs and advise ENAR team to best showcase and leverage the network's own expertise as one task, and the other.
- Support our Communications team by contributing the perspective of members to ENAR's internal and outgoing communications.
- Ensure membership information and contact details maintained in the CRM are up to date and contributing to the organisation's reporting on achievements on membership growth, retention and capacity building for funding requirements and monitoring and evaluation.
- Regularly brief the staff and Board on the network and the membership and proactively feed in policy, campaigning and communication initiatives.
