Join Proximus Ada Within this Proximus' newly established center of expertise for AI and Cybersecurity, the Security Management and CSIRT teams aim to safeguard Proximus, its clientele, its operations, and reputation against both external and internal threats. You'll thrive in a vibrant setting, fostering strong teamwork and delving into intricate technical aspects.
The Cyber Security Incident Response Team acts as a centralized security service, overseeing and managing cybersecurity incidents throughout the Proximus Group. The team ensures swift and efficient incident resolution, while keeping higher management well-informed of the ongoing progress.
As a SOC Analyst (CDC Analyst) within CSIRT, your role involves monitoring the incident queue and resolving issues. For more complex incidents, escalation to the Cyber Defense Center or the Incident Response team is necessary.
Your primary objective is to promptly address tickets and collaborate with technical teams across various business units and affiliates within the Proximus Group.
Your responsibilities:
- Taking full charge of incident coordination from internal or external sources, including prioritization, identifying key contacts in relevant teams, sending alert notifications, conducting incident analysis, documenting findings, and sharing information with the team.
- Working within the security alerts monitoring team (CDC).
- Proactively suggesting enhancements to the Proximus Group's environment to mitigate cyber incidents, following through with implementation.
- Providing recommendations to prevent future incidents.
- Actively seeking ways to improve the false positive rate of security alerts.
- Participating in threat hunting activities.
- Willingness to be part of the on-call rotation.
Your qualifications:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Security or have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience as a SOC analyst.
- Proficient in Windows, Linux, internet technology, and network protocols.
- Familiarity with a scripting language (Python, PowerShell, etc.) and/or a query language (SQL, KQL, SPL) is highly valuable.
- Flexibility and team-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Demonstrate integrity and trust when handling sensitive data.
- Experience in the telecommunications sector and related technologies is a significant asset.
- Fluency in English is mandatory, proficiency in French and/or Dutch is advantageous.
