**De functie**:
Als Hoofd Publiek breng je M naar de mensen, en de mensen naar M.
Of het nu gaat om marketing en communicatie, onthaal en bezoekersmanagement, bemiddeling, gemeenschapswerking of educatie: jij tekent de plannen uit, en overtuigt de teams van M om die samen met jou te realiseren. Want samen bouwen we bruggen tussen kunst, erfgoed en de samenleving.
Samen met je collega's van het directieteam zet je de strategie uit om de ambities van M verder waar te maken: verder uitgroeien tot een publieksgericht museum en kunstenplatform dat oud en nieuw verbindt. Sterk verankerd in Leuven, én met internationale ambities. Jullie bewaken de focus van M, en hakken de strategische knopen door om die focus om te zetten in inspirerend beleid.
Als lid van het directieteam help je M om als organisatie uit te groeien tot de beste versie van zichzelf. Jouw focus ligt op een kwalitatieve dienstverlening voor het publiek, maar je verliest daarbij nooit het welbevinden van onze medewerkers uit het oog.
Je tekent een strategisch beleidsplan uit dat inspeelt op de noden van onze verschillende publieksgroepen. Je zorgt voor de vertaling van publieksplannen naar de operationele werking van het museum en overziet de financiële middelen die daarvoor nodig zijn. Samen met de coördinatoren van de teams stel je actieplannen op die haalbaar zijn met de mensen, middelen en infrastructuur die M in huis heeft. Kwaliteitsmanagement hoort daarbij eveneens tot je opdracht.
Je bent een ambassadeur van M, en vertegenwoordigt het museum zowel intern als extern. Je volgt maatschappelijke en sectorale evoluties op en houdt er rekening mee om het publieksbeleid van M vorm te geven.
**Het profiel**:
Je hebt voeling met het domein publiekswerking, en dat kan je aantonen met minstens zeven jaar relevante ervaring in minstens twee van de volgende de domeinen: marketing, communicatie, bemiddeling, educatie of customer service. Daarnaast heb je minstens een jaar aantoonbare ervaring in een strategische functie of in het managen van strategische projecten of opdrachten. Je hebt een masterdiploma op zak, of bezit een diploma dat toegang geeft tot een overheidsfunctie op niveau A. Professionele ervaring in, en affiniteit met de kunst-, erfgoed
- of vrijetijdssector zijn een stevige plus.
Je bent een _people person_ die mensen kan begeesteren en overtuigen. Redeneren, helder communiceren en informatie gestructureerd doorgeven gaan jou heel natuurlijk af.
Een visie formuleren, vertalen, delen en beargumenteren: jij kan richting geven en beslissingen nemen. Je houdt van efficiëntie en draait je hand niet om voor veranderingen die de organisatie én de mensen ten goede komen. Je hebt een kritische blik en bent even realistisch als empathisch. Mensen kennen jou als een vlotte netwerker.
