As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will have a key role in guiding teams to effectively implement security standards, perform thorough security assessments, and uphold policies to define our security posture. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to instill a security-focused approach across the organization and foster continuous improvement in our security practices. Your responsibilities as a Cloud/Cyber Security Engineer

  • Guidance and Collaboration: Work closely with various (cloud) teams to offer guidance and assistance in implementing security standards and best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to align security requirements with business objectives and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Security Assessments & Security by Design: Conduct security assessments of our (cloud) infrastructure, applications, and systems to pinpoint vulnerabilities, risks, and areas for enhancement. Analyze technical architectural diagrams and provide insight on security enhancements based on existing designs.
  • Policy Maintenance and Posture Definition: Maintain and enhance our security policies and procedures to adapt to evolving threats and regulatory demands. Define and enforce our cloud security posture & SecAppDev landscape to align with industry best practices and organizational objectives.
  • Training and Awareness: Offer guidance and training to teams and other relevant stakeholders to cultivate a security-conscious culture and nurture a security-first mindset throughout the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and cloud security trends. Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancements, automation, and technological innovations to strengthen our cloud security capabilities.

Your profile as a Cloud/Cyber Security Engineer

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, OR equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferably 3 years of experience in (cloud) security roles, focusing on multidisciplinary teams and crafting security policies in complex & hybrid environments.
  • Solid grasp of cloud computing concepts and architectures, especially in AWS.
  • Proficiency in security by design principles and adept at identifying and addressing security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of effectively explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences and collaborating across functions to achieve common security goals.
  • Knowledge and experience in the tool landscape within the CI/CD process in the cloud-native SecAppDev environment.
  • Relevant certifications like CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security Specialties are a plus.
  • Sharp analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and lead initiatives to completion in a dynamic setting.
