About the job:
You will play a role in growing IFOAM Organics Europe's business and building the capacity of the organic movement.
You will be the regular contact point for IFOAM Organics Europe's 50 sponsors and partners (mainly companies and foundations).You will co-design and coordinate initiatives that aim at bringing new partners and advancing the organic movement in Europe and beyond.
You will work under the supervision of the Partnerships, Sector Projects, and Internal Strategy team.This role will give you an outstanding opportunity to get in contact with a wide range of stakeholders from the organic sector and acquire deep knowledge about the industry priorities and activities.
You will get a chance to practice and develop your management, coordination, marketing, and networking skills.Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to engaging new sponsors and partners (40%*): 1.1. Draft and coordinate calls for sponsors. 1.2. Develop creative materials and proposals to sell our ideas to potential sponsors. 1.3. Co-design new projects by finding ideas, drafting concepts, collecting stakeholders' and colleagues' inputs, and compiling proposals to potential supporters. 1.4. Engage in continuous research to identify new supporters. Regularly monitor potential sponsors and foundations' activities and identify suitable opportunities matching IFOAM EU strategic priorities. 1.5. Actively look for and propose alternative ideas and ways of engaging sponsors. 1.6.
Participate in fairs and events (occasional Support the manager in executing the strategy work:
ensuring background research and looking for new ideas for funding streams. 1.8. Assist the manager in drafting presentations and scripts for meetings and events. 1.9. Assist with other similar tasks. 2 2.
Ensure effective cooperation with our current sponsors and partners (30%*): 2.1.
Set up yearly sponsorship and partnership engagement plans and ensure that they are effectively delivered by overseeing the implementation, liaising with colleagues responsible for implementation, ensuring timely execution, and providing activity reports for sponsors.
2.2.Maintain relationships with existing sponsors by being the central contact point and responding to their requests in a timely fashion and keeping them updated about the work of the organisation.
2.3.Ensure visibility of projects supported by sponsors:
provide them with important project updates (successes, progress), write articles for IFOAM Organics Europe newsletters, and short messages for social media channels - in cooperation with the communications team.
2.4.Oversee the implementation of projects supported by sponsors, in cooperation with policy, finance, and communications teams:
make sure that the sponsorship contracts and commitments are fulfilled, and budgets are adequately allocated. 2.5. Liaise with the events and communications teams in organising sponsor-related events. 2.6. Assist with other similar tasks. 3. Coordinate sector capacity-building initiatives (25%*) 3.1.
Coordinate the Expert Group for Capacity Building:
ensuring the group dynamic and effective preparation of the yearly expert roundtable (setting up the agenda, liaising with participants, providing meeting minutes, ensuring post-event follow-up Coordinate other potential groups related to capacity building. 3.3.
Co-design and coordinate the implementation of multi-annual projects for members' capacitybuilding (this is a new project, and the activities will depend on funding).
4. Management and administration (5%*) 4.1. Draft contracts and maintain contract database. 4.2. Monitor sponsorship and partnerships budgets, allocate funds to different projects, and liaise with the finance team regarding invoicing. 4.3. Support management in preparing and organizing meetings with potential donors, including preparing background research, presentations, taking minutes, and follow-up. 4.4.
