Consumers everywhere are increasingly conscious of the quality of the food they eat.
Puratos develops, produces and distributes worldwide a range of ingredients for bakers, pastry-chefs and chocolatiers who demand the very highest quality.
Puratos is an ambitious company with a workforce of 5.200, known for its passion for innovation in over 100 countries.
Puratos is looking for an Intern to join the R&D Bakery Improvers team, responsible for the development of innovative products in the fast growing category of breads.
As part of the innovation team developing, you will be in charge of:
- Literature review;
- Collect and manage samples of potential ingredients available on the market;
- Propose, organize and carry out baking trials (after a complete training on bread making);
- Evaluate quality of final products, write trial reports and analyze results, coordinate sensory analysis;
- Carry out laboratory tests with ingredients and provide assistance to the R&D managers of the team;
- Present results and make recommendations to help decision making based on cost/performance.
- You are currently in your last year of Master's degree in Food Science/Technology or biochemistry or looking for a professional experience during your gap year;
- You are dynamic, energetic, handson and proactive;
- You have good communication, presentation, planning and organization skills;
- You're sincerely interested in the bakery world;
- An experience in the bakery industry is a plus;
- Fluent in English, or Fluent in French with strong English skills (all work carried out in English).
- Period of the internship : ideally start at the end of August beginning of September
Duration of the internship : 5 months minimum, 6 months or more preferred.
- Location of the internship: Brussels, Belgium
