The Business Applications Analyst is responsible for continuously improving the ServiceNow platform, supporting mostly customer services and professional services.
He/she will focus on understanding business processes and requirements and translate these into optimal solutions on the ServiceNow platform.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the requirements of the business stakeholders and translate these into optimal solutions, according to industry best practices and based on detailed knowledge of ServiceNow
  • Write stories, with acceptance criteria and functional test, and prioritize these with the business stakeholders, in accordance to agile best practices. Configure the ServiceNow platform to improve and automate business processes
  • Assist the business with the development of reports and dashboards, including the use of Performance Analytics.
  • Manage 3rd party service provider
  • Maintain ServiceNow environment, including timely patching, cloning and upgrades
  • Perform daytoday administration, including access management and monitoring of the platform
  • Document workflows, configuration documents, user instructions and release documentation.
  • Perform and document test scenarios and provide evidence on proper system testing before program or configuration changes are ready for testing by the users and released for production. This includes utilizing ServiceNow's Automated Test Framework (ATF).
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and suppliers to improve company performance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree minimum.
years of relevant work experience within business process engineering.

  • Experience with the following ServiceNow Modules is a must have.
  • ITSM
  • SPM
  • CSM
  • Performance Analytics (PA)
  • ServiceNow Certifications
  • System Administrator
  • Service Now Product Owner (nice to have)
  • Implementation (nice to have)
  • Experience with system configuration, scripting, UI/form/view creation.
  • Creative in designing 'to be' processes with appropriate automation.
  • Knowledge of process and data modeling techniques.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies (i.e. Scrum)
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate with business users on various levels and make technical solutions understandable in business terms.
  • Capable of translating business needs into concrete technical solutions.
  • Excellent writing skills, capable of writing job instructions, system documentation, change requirements, test scenarios and results for different target groups (IT colleagues, business users, auditors).
