OneSpan is on the lookout for a Business Application Analyst to join our team. This role is available to candidates residing in Belgium as we require on-site presence once or twice a week.
The Business Applications Analyst plays a crucial role in enhancing the ServiceNow platform, primarily supporting customer services and professional services. The individual will concentrate on grasping business processes and requirements and transforming them into optimal solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand the needs of business stakeholders and translate them into optimal solutions using industry best practices and in-depth ServiceNow knowledge
- Create stories with acceptance criteria and functional tests, and prioritize them with stakeholders following agile best practices. Configure the ServiceNow platform to enhance and automate business processes
- Aid in developing reports and dashboards, including using Performance Analytics
- Troubleshoot and support user issues on the ServiceNow platform and related applications and modules
- Supervise 3rd party service provider
- Maintain the ServiceNow environment by ensuring timely patching, cloning, and upgrades
- Carry out day-to-day administration, including access management and platform monitoring
- Document workflows, configuration documents, user instructions, and release documentation
- Conduct and document test scenarios, ensuring proper system testing before changes are ready for user testing and production release, utilizing ServiceNow's Automated Test Framework (ATF)
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders and suppliers to enhance company performance
- Support the business applications team with operational assistance on other cloud-based applications and integrations
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
- Years of relevant work experience in business process engineering
- Essential experience with ServiceNow Modules, including ITSM, SPM, CSM, Performance Analytics (PA)
- ServiceNow Certifications: System Administrator; Service Now Product Owner (desirable); Implementation (desirable)
- Proficiency in system configuration, scripting, UI/form/view creation
- Skilled in designing 'to be' processes with suitable automation
- Familiarity with process and data modeling techniques
- Knowledge of agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum)
- Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical solutions into business terms for diverse users
- Able to translate business requirements into tangible technical solutions
- Experience with cloud-based business applications
- Excellent writing skills to craft job instructions, system documentation, change requirements, and test scenarios tailored for various audiences (IT, business, auditors)
