YOUR TASKS
- At least 70% of your assignment will be spent on academic research.
- You are responsible for carrying out a research project within the field of microscale modeling of the failure behavior of têxtile materials, nonwovens in particular.
- You also provide support around numerical modeling to other researchers in the research group working around têxtile modeling.
- You perform finite element simulations for predicting and understanding the failure behavior of têxtile materials, nonwovens in particular, and herein accurately incorporate the microscale parameters.
- You analyze the results and report them to the external research partner.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- You hold a thesisbased doctorate (obtained max. 6 years ago. This term of 6 years is determined by the date written on the abovementioned required diploma).

- You have already conducted extensive research in the field of materials modeling for the mechanical behavior of materials.
- You have extensive experience in developing and implementing numerical models (geometry, material models, etc.) in commercial finite element codes.
- You have distinguished yourself as a promising researcher during your doctoral research.
- You have a high level of relevant scientific publications.
WE CAN OFFER YOU
- We offer you a contract of indefinite duration with a maximum term of 1 year.
- Your contract will start on 26/02/2024 at the earliest.
