Job Summary


As an HR Management and Planning Officer, you will act as an interface between the Human Resources department and the company's employees.

You are responsible for managing the entire HR administrative process of the employee from recruitment to departure from the company and for implementing HR policies and procedures.

The HR Management and Planning Officer reports to a Human Resources Manager.

Key Responsibilities
As an HR Management and Planning Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Establishing positive relationships with employees, providing assistance and support in resolving work related issues.
  • Working closely with your management to implement effective and consistent HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of labour laws and employment regulations to ensure company compliance.
  • Carrying out all HR procedures, from hiring and onboarding to the departure of an employee. Your mission will be to ensure an optimal administrative process in compliance with the regulations in force. In this respect, you will have to ensure, for example, that recruitment procedures are carried out correctly, that personnel files are compiled, that social security organisations are affiliated, and that regulatory obligations are monitored. Finally, you will be responsible for preparing the balances of all accounts and transmitting all the data to the payroll department for the preparation of pay slips.
  • You will also be responsible for the preparation and monitoring of personnel management charts, particularly about paid leave, replacements and the company's overall workforce. You will also be responsible for reporting on HR indicators in order to provide your management with accurate data to assist in decision making.
  • Monitoring of residence and work permits for the company's foreign employees. You will also be required to provide insurance certificates for travel abroad to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our employees when they travel on assignment.
  • Monitoring the working time of one or more populations (alerting in case of over
- or under-utilization)

  • Scheduling of permanent and nonpermanent journalists and technical staff, in conjunction with the editorial and operations departments
  • Participate in recruitment missions and manage a pool of freelancers for the editorial and operations departments
  • Participate in the deployment of new HR projects and in the implementation of internal communication actions related to personnel management.

Profile required

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related.
  • Experience: Minimum of three year in a similar role (e.g., HR assistant, administrative manager, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the sector is a plus
Technical skills

  • Good knowledge of Belgian labour law, French a plus
  • Good knowledge of IT tools, in particular Excel
  • Knowledge of one or more HRIS
  • Minimum C1 level in written and spoken English and French.
  • C1 level in written and spoken in the language covered in planning is a plus
