The Opportunity:
Avantor is currently seeking a Senior EHSSS Specialist/Prevention Advisor to join our EHS team at our Haasrode site, collaborating and sharing knowledge with our EHS Specialists across Europe. You will provide essential training for our teams, be a point of contact for best practices, and ensure everyone on site contributes to a culture of safety.
Our site houses both a Distribution Center and a Production Department, offering various projects and initiatives to make an impact.

What we are looking for:
- Education: Higher education (preferred) and Prevention Advisor Level 2 certificate.
- Experience: Prior experience in the chemical sector.
- Knowledge of process safety and Atex.
- Experienced internal auditor (preferably ISO 45001 & ISO 14001).
- Language skills: Fluent in Dutch and English.
How you can make a difference:
- Develop themes in line with the EHS3 organizational policy in Belgium.
- Coordinate the introduction and training process related to Seveso III regulations.
- Provide support with technical expertise for process safety application.
- Implement and monitor EHS processes and documentation for distribution and logistics departments.
- Conduct EHS3 audits according to a developed program.
- Support and coordinate incident and observational safety investigations using root cause analysis techniques.
- Maintain records and documented information related to the EHS3 role.
