Job purpose:
The person is expected to be a laboratory scientist responsible of participating to the planification and execution of a large panel of activities in scope of the Drug Substance Global Innovation Center, with the help and support of other experienced scientists.
Your responsibilities:
- You help design and you execute a high diversity of laboratory experiments in collaboration with other scientists of the DS Global Innovation Center and in the development units including as upstream, downstream, biomolecular and analytical activities.
- You are responsible to troubleshoot issues on our equipment and to perform advanced maintenance, setup or recalibration when needed; Able to debug programming or execution issues to ensure continuity of activities.
- You participate to daytoday housekeeping of laboratories of the drug substance function.
- You contribute to activities of project developments units upon need, according to priorities of the global drug substance function.
- You report the results in a comprehensive form after interpretation and extensive quality check of the raw data. Suggests improvements and offers perspective for further developments.
- You participate to the writing of experimental procedures and of scientific reports, prepares and presents scientific data, defend scientific and technical decisions at the appropriate technical board in collaboration with other experienced scientists of the team.
- You make sound scientific and technical decisions based on a balance of data, analysis and experience.
- You ensure proactive scientific/technology watch within competency domain.
- May be responsible for technical followup of external collaborations, including equipment suppliers.

Basic Qualifications:
- We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:_
- Master degree in biolology, chemical, cell & viral technologies, cell culture, etc.
- A minimum of 12 years' experience in a similar role.
- Fluent in spoken and written English scientifically/technically as well as conversational are a MUST.
- Education in or existing experience in drug substance process development
- High agility and flexibility.
- Scientific curiosity.
- Laboratory presence.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment and communicate effectively.
- Easy social networking/ interfacing.
- Good stakeholder management and excellent communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking & decision making.
- Open minded & collaborative approach.
- Ability to drive change.
Preferred qualifications:

- Master degree in Cell Biology, upstream, downstream.
