Chiesi is in search of a Senior Accountant in Belgium to join the Benelux Finance department. This role is a great opportunity for a skilled accountant with extensive knowledge of the Belgian regulations and tax laws. Are you ready to take charge of the accounting processes in Belgium? What will be your responsibilities:- Lead independently Belgian statutory subjects and internal and external audits;
- Ensure a proper level of internal controls;
- Guarantee the accuracy of the financial statements;
- Act as the main contact person for the PR/PO process and SAP workflow, and coordinate activities between departments;
- Provide training and continually educate colleagues;
- Handle internal queries regarding the general ledger process and prepare calculations for month-end tasks related to general ledger postings;
- Maintain reconciled balance sheet accounts;
- Coordinate travel and expenses in the T&E management tool;
- Calculate all relevant local taxes and other necessary declarations for the authorities;
- Work closely with tax consultants for advice and reviews;
- Offer oral or written information from the financial systems to stakeholders as requested;
- Collect data for financial reports and prepare reports as instructed by the Accounting Manager;
- Proactively raise any identified risks and provide clear action plans.

An enthusiastic team player with the capability to lead processes. As a Senior Accountant, you should be dedicated, organized, and detail-oriented. Stakeholder management and proactivity are crucial for this position.
- Your educational background should be at a bachelor's degree level;
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is necessary;
- Thorough understanding of Belgian regulations (accounting and tax laws);
- High technical knowledge of accounting principles, especially BE GAAP;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
