DESCRIPTION OF THE TASK:

As a Senior System Engineering Specialist, the Application Cloud Architect will be responsible for:

  • Providing IT support, design, and troubleshooting for large server and SAN farms, as well as complex platforms.
  • Configuring and troubleshooting virtual environments, including VMware vSphere, vSAN, and Horizon.
  • Managing servers and operating systems (UNIX, Linux, Windows).
  • Designing, implementing, and administering backup and restore solutions such as VEEAM and StoreOnce.
  • Administering servers, bladesystems, and composable infrastructure.
  • Managing storage systems, including traditional SAN, CEPH, and VSAN.
  • Operating OCP platforms in a DEVOPS mode with support systems like Red Hat Service Mesh, GitHub, Helm, GitOps, Ansible Automation Platform, and Kafka.
  • Developing, executing, and troubleshooting Ansible and PowerShell scripts.
  • Administering PKI and certificates.
  • Managing monitoring systems like Nagios and Splunk.
  • Administering Oracle infrastructure, including EXADATA and ZDRLA.
  • Administering mail servers and mail relays (postfix), antivirus, and antispam solutions.
  • Centralized software deployment and update management.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION:

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant education (master's degree or equivalent) after secondary school.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with hardware management, racking, cabling, replacement, and firmware upgrades.
  • Proficiency in hardware/software inventory and configuration management.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with VMware (vSphere, vSAN, Horizon).
  • Proficiency in managing Oracle hardware.
  • Advanced experience in administering Redhat and Windows OS on large farms.
  • Experience with Active Directory (AD), LDAP, and Keycloak management.
  • Proficiency in Network Attached Storage (NAS) and distributed file systems.
  • Expertise in centralized IT security policy management.
  • Knowledge and experience in administering servers, bladesystems, and composable infrastructure.
  • Expertise in administering backup and storage systems (VEEAM, StoreOnce, vSAN, traditional SAN, and CEPH).
  • Advanced script development and troubleshooting skills (Ansible, PowerShell).
  • Experience in software compliance monitoring and enforcement.
  • Advanced knowledge of OCP platform administration with tools like Red Hat Service Mesh, GitHub, Helm, GitOps, Ansible Automation Platform, and Kafka.
  • Proficiency in supporting mail servers and mail relays (postfix), antivirus, and antispam solutions.
  • Basic knowledge of database systems, including MS SQL, Oracle, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in monitoring and observability systems (Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Fluentd, Kibana, Jaeger, NAGIOS, Splunk).
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Experience managing highly available environments and multisite support.
  • Familiarity with ITIL/ITIL V3 processes, especially incident, change, capacity, and configuration management.

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE:

  • Advanced scripting skills (Ansible, PowerShell).
  • Extensive experience with virtualization and cloud management tools.
  • Proficient in managing largescale IT infrastructures and complex IT environments.
  • Advanced skills in IT security policy implementation and management.

CERTIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS:

  • Relevant certifications in VMware, Red Hat, Oracle, ITIL, and other related technologies and methodologies are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in compliance with industry standards for IT security, data management, and system administration.
