Group Accounting Manager:
Ontex is a leading international producer of personal hygiene solutions for babies, women and adults. Our people are our most valuable asset. To support and reinforce our Finance team we are looking for a Group Accounting Manager.
Mission and Key Tasks:
As a Group Accounting Manager, you ensure that Ontex' accounting rules and IFR Reporting requirements are applied correctly and consistently throughout the group by
- Advising local finance managers and group consolidation on technical matters
- Translating new business flows into accounting instructions
- Being the first point of contact for complex accounting topics
- Keeping the accounting manual and chart of accounts up to date
- Understanding local GAAP requirements in various countries, facilitating the simultaneous compliance to local GAAP and IFRS
- Following up changes in IFRS and proactively analyzing their impact on the Group's financial statements
- Spreading knowledge and preparing training material on specific accounting & reporting topics
- Organizing global training sessions with the objective to improve the financial accounting and IFRS knowledge in the group
You are responsible for translation of IFRS requirements at Group Accounting level and into the preparation of the Quarterly, Half-Yearly and Year End financial statements involving accounting treatments under IFRS and IAS standards.
You support and coordinate the (financial) Audit process.
You have a key role in corporate finance projects
- coordinate and prepare the financial impact of corporate finance projects like financial restructurings, acquisitions or divestitures
- This includes the preparation of opening balances and disclosures related to business combinations, the support in writing a prospectus, the review of due diligence reports, etc
- lead and participate in projects related to financial systems
Background and Experience:
- Master Degree in Business Economics or similar (ACCA or similar preferred)
- 10 years of relevant experience: group reporting/consolidation in an international company, proven experience in complex accounting matters (e.g. purchase price allocation, financial instruments, accounting policies, IFRS and IAS standards)
- Strong accounting skills, good knowledge of IFRS and IAS standards
- Good communication skills able to persuade and influence finance managers and senior management
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills able to understand complex transaction agreements and convert these into actionable insights and recommendations for a senior audience
- Ownership and drive to lead group accounting policies across all divisions and countries of operations
- Proactivity and being able to lead
- Experience in and good understanding of BPC, SAP and BI environment
- Professional proficiency in Dutch required (ability to work on financial statements in Dutch)
