Opportunity at "AKT projects" F/H
The UWE (Union Wallonne des Entreprises) and the CCI (Chambres de Commerce et d'Industrie) in Wallonia have decided to enhance their collaboration to embody the entrepreneurial dynamics of the business world for a prosperous and sustainable Wallonia. This results in the creation of a new entity named "AKT".
To accomplish its mission, "AKT" has established a common entity called "AKT Projects". This entity is currently seeking a managing director.
Key activities of the role
*** Building the "AKT" project. This involves:
- Monitoring the agreement between UWE and CCI, developing a comprehensive strategy in line with "AKT" objectives, and drafting agreements to gradually implement "AKT Projects".
- Participating in governance bodies: preparing, attending, and following up on steering committee meetings, management committee meetings of "AKT", and board meetings of "AKT Projects".
- Coordinating and monitoring thematic working groups.
- Analyzing synergies between UWE and CCI activities to enhance service quality for businesses.
- Identifying and developing new services or activities to meet business needs.
- Developing and managing the budget of "AKT Projects".
- Representing the entity in meetings, forums, conferences, and other relevant instances.
- Managing operational activities and common events.
The Operational Director will be the main contact for UWE and CCI teams, reporting to the board of "AKT Projects" and coordinating with the Managing Director of "AKT".
*** Managing structural partnerships
- Enhancing structural partnerships by setting realistic financial goals and implementing a proactive policy to achieve these partnerships.
- Building, managing, and expanding structural partnership ecosystems of "AKT". This includes:
- Utilizing key players in Wallonia to increase "AKT's" impact by forming new structural partnerships to enhance UWE and CCI's offerings.
- Increasing knowledge sharing among UWE, CCI, and their structural partners.
- Organizing thematic networking events (events, workshops, webinars, etc.) with structural partners.
- Coordinating with local partnership managers in CCI and UWE.
- Conducting strategic steering committees and operational monitoring committees for these structural partnerships.
- Monitoring structural partnerships through KPIs and suggesting improvement measures.
Profile Requirements
The role requires a university degree. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in Wallonia's economic challenges and the business institutional context in Wallonia.
The candidate must possess the following qualities:
- Strategic thinking and strong interpersonal skills.
- Good listening and analytical skills, as well as management and leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Entrepreneurial experience is a plus.
- Availability, flexibility, and ability to manage stress and multiple projects.
- Proficiency in French, with a good understanding of Dutch and English.
