Context:


We are seeking for an Internal Control Senior Manager within DPAM and reporting to DPAM's Internal Control and Outsourcing Officer.


Your Position:


As part of the first line of defense, the incumbent primarily role is to assist DPAM's Internal Control Officer in supporting DPAM's business & operating teams and making sure all relevant risks are mapped, all controls are well designed & functioning properly, all incidents are reported, actioned, and remediated with diligence.

The incumbent will primarily carry out the following activities:

  • Support the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process.
  • Identify and assess main operational & business risks faced by DPAM vs. Risk Appetite, develop preventive strategies, and secure robustness of controls.
  • Execute and document testing to confirm design and operating effectiveness of DPAM first line key controls.
  • Identify and investigate risks for which there are no or insufficient mitigating controls in place, as well as control failures & gaps in processes; put forward remediation and suggestions to mitigate risks and enhance control framework.
  • Work collaboratively with business and process owners to implement and monitor required remediation efforts, ensuring the effective implementation of corrective action.
  • Manage, investigate, and help remediate operational incidents.
  • Actively participate to regular reviews and updates of business procedures and processes to ensure embeddedness of internal control best practices.
  • Support the periodic production of management reporting on the robustness & effectiveness of the internal control framework.
  • Increase 1st line awareness on risk management and strengthen control mindsets of the Operations teams.
  • Maintain an open and continuous dialogue with the 2nd line and the 3rd line of defense.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by management.
  • You will report to DPAM's Internal Control and Outsourcing Officer

Your Profile:

  • You have obtained a master's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent with a first relevant experience (more than 5 years) in the financial services sector / internal control/ operational risk or audit.
  • Sound knowledge and experience of COSO internal control framework is a plus
  • Thanks to your relevant experience, you work with a high level of autonomy.
  • Affinity or experience with IT software is a plus.
  • You are wellorganized and have eye for details.
  • You are proactive, flexible, pragmatic and have a 'cando' mentality.
  • You can work in a project management mode when necessary to implement new processes
  • You are a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You are discrete and can handle confidential information.
  • You are a team player but can work in an independent and autonomous way with multiple internal or external stakeholders at all levels.
