R&D Manager Grains & Seeds
Join our passionate R&D team as an R&D manager within the Business Unit Grains & Seeds, at our HQ in Groot-bijgaarden. Lead dynamic projects in new product development, optimization of products and their implementation in our facilities. Join the Puratos magic and become an expert in the field.
Key Accountabilities:
You will manage projects in Applied R&D
You define & develop, in close collaboration with the markets, the product range including innovations and renovations of products, services and processes. You accelerate the implementation of Puratos Grains & Seeds solutions by mastering the customer's processes You initiate, develop and maintain relationships and/or partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, such as suppliers, industrial equipment manufacturers, upstream research team, universities, research centers,... You screen, select and implement new processing technologies, from lab tests to pilot scale (in house or at supplier premises) Train, transfer knowledge and competences and facilitate the exchange between all relevant stakeholdersYou support and advice Quality & Operations
You lead the new product handover to Operations You collaborate with Operations for challenges and opportunities (incl production, supply chain, quality and purchasing) and for the installation of new linesYou support countries and business development
You support the implementation of strategic, international and local innovation and renovation projects You are an active member of the business development team by strongly supporting customer visits and understanding customer needs, travelling up to 30% of your timeWho are we looking for?
You have a scientific master degree (food science, biosciences, biochemistry, ...) and have a first solid experience in an industrial environment (R&D and production) As a project manager, you are a natural multitasker: you are able to implement several projects at the same time You enjoy working in a team and can also take the lead autonomously Being passionate about bakery products is key. Profound knowledge on grains and seeds, food processing and bakery/bread making is a plus You are fluent in English. French and/or Dutch are a plus You are willing to travel up to 30% of your timeWhy should you join Puratos?
