WHAT YOU'LL DO:


This is a highly dynamic role whereby you will be responsible for the day to day running of the HR function within the Brussels office to deliver the best-in-class HR services, covering both Consulting and Business Services' teams (BST).

You act as a valuable advisor and business partner to the Brussels office leadership in setting and executing the people agenda.

In addition, you are part of the LAB (London

  • Amsterdam
  • Brussels) HR team and will be leading and/ or contributing to additional LAB HR initiatives and projects.

Main duties will involve:

  • Lead the development and execution of all Brussels local HR policies and processes in partnership with local, LAB and global colleagues. Thought partner on Belgian specific rules, regulations and practices so that compliance is reached, and local practices are taken into account in broader initiatives.
  • Responsible for running the daytoday management of all employee lifecycle processes in the Brussels office, from onboarding to offboarding. Continuously seeks to optimize local HR support structures and processes to improve quality of services.
  • Business partner to Brussels Management, line managers, Career Development Advisors, Business Services Team and Consulting staff, providing answers to questions or advice on wellbeing issues and prevention measures, absence management, performance management, disciplinary issues and career transitions.
  • Accountable for local HR related risk management, like maintaining employment contract templates/ letter, local risk audits, prevention plan, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and other HR related regulatory requirements and ensuring compliance with BCG global HR policies.
  • Act as point of contact to staff to express their needs and concerns with regards to the work environment, investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution. Ensures all personnel issues are managed in accordance with BCG policy and local employment law requirements.
  • Local representative for BST recruiting process in line with BCG's regional /global standards, for all permanent and temporary BST recruitment. Collaborate with other LAB HR colleagues to set and align on system BST recruitment strategy.
  • Works closely with LAB Team to drive best practice performance management process for BST including the year end process (LAB development committee and salary/ bonus review). Supports line managers with training and upskilling where needed.
  • Line Manager for two direct reports. Responsible for Brussels HR team performance management and development, as well as ensuring accuracy of work.
  • Responsible for leading one of the LAB HR squads: accountable for driving and supporting LAB processes and change across the 3 offices for a particular area (squad). Contributes to other LAB squad initiatives and projects while ensuring LAB initiatives are embedded in local practices and communicated appropriately.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS):

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant human resources management experience, proficient in dealing with Employee Relations issues
  • A proven track record of managing projects to successful outcomes in a complex and highly professional environment, with a particular focus on stakeholder management
  • Experience working in a fasted paced, professional service firm environment
  • Fluent in either Dutch or French and a high standard of English both verbal and written communication
  • Experience in a team management role and developing employees
  • Strong understanding of Belgium employment law
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, and well experienced numerate
