Description

  • Monitor the new legislations applicable to insurance companies as well as regulatory developments (on sustainable governance (ESG); outsourcing (especially in the context of cloud services); information and communication technologies; electronic archiving; intellectual property rights) and draft or adapt our client's policy documents and procedures in these areas.
The Corporate Legal Advisor will also inform and train the relevant parties on these matters.


He will also Participate in cross-cutting projects to ensure that these new laws and regulations are applied in the company.


  • Provide legal advice on corporate law, contract law, corporate governance, prudential supervision.
- 'Legal housekeeping': provide support in the preparation of meetings of boards of directors, committees and general meetings, drafting the agenda, minutes and others.

  • Followup and management of contacts with supervisory authorities (NBB/FSMA): preparation of files, answers to governance questions,...
  • Prepare and review various documents related to governance.
  • Analyze, draft or revise commercial contracts (with service providers and suppliers).

Profile

  • You have a master's degree in law and at least 5 years of experience, with an affinity in the above mentioned areas.
  • You have a good command of Dutch and French. Knowledge of English is an asset.
  • You are dynamic, independent and persistent. Furthermore, you have an effective personal organization and a good team spirit.
  • You have excellent communication and editorial skills and are able to give legal advice and explanations in an efficient and concise manner.
  • You have an analytical and pragmatic attitude.
