Home Based Position Summary The Senior Market Access Manager BeLux will be responsible for definition & implementation of Alexions Market Access strategies and key tactics on Alexions products portfolio for Belgium and Luxembourg.
The Senior Market Access Manager BeLux will be responsible to define a local public affairs plan to support the local market access objectives and local Alexions portfolio strategy.
This person will develop and coordinate the market access strategies in close collaboration with the other team members as well as with international value and access team and market access consultants, if needed.
Key ResponsabilitiesMarket AccessDefining assumptions and strategy for pricing and reimbursement in Belgium & Luxembourg,Developing value dossiers to support reimbursement (HTA&health economic models) as well as price negotiation.
He/She will be responsible for the follow up of these dossiers as well as the related commitments. Develop price dossiers for submission, including all the necessary activities to obtain a price.Managing or coleading communication and negotiation with HTA & payers Gathering all the necessary value evidence and when necessary to work with other local or international functions to generate any additional data needed to support the access strategyBuilding a strong collaboration framework with his/her local/international/global counterparts to ensure that relevant global materials have been integrated/adapted in the dossiers.
Maintain reimbursement throughout the product life cycle (revisions, new indications, price).Developing best practice sharing with the market access team in France Public affairs/ institutional relationsBe responsible for stakeholder mapping and engagementDefine and roll out associated actions with regards to key external stakeholders (authorities, administration, or any relevant institution) to support Alexions engagement for patient access to innovation in rare diseases, engaging strong collaboration with any other internal functions when relevant.
Follow and analyze the evolution in the Belgian and Luxembourg healthcare systemsbe involved in discussions within trade associations in Belgium and Luxembourg (Working groups, Task force)Will work closely with the Head of Public affairs in France EnvironmentThe senior market access manager will monitor any evolution of the external environment in his field of expertise (principles, rules, or processes) but will also liaise with other functions to gather any relevant inside impacting Alexions portfolio and associated access strategy.
Qualifications and SkillsSolid Pharmaceutical/healthcare industry experience with experience in market access and government affairs experience (min 5 years), having an experience in rare diseases is a plus.
Significant Belgian market access experience is required both HTA and price negotiation.Deep knowledge of local access environment (HTA, payers, institutions and overall decisionmaking process)Experience in developing and/or adapting global economic models to meet country specific HTA requirements.
Strong analytical and strategic skills.Project management and collaboration skills Strong interpersonal skills and influence cross functionally.
You are fluent spoken and written in Dutch, French and advanced in English (min C1)Excellent communication skills, strong oral/written presentation skills.
Strong ability to matrix environment, within a global organization, and to work closely within a local team EducationA Bachelors and/or advanced degree in one or more of the following areas:health economics, public health, epidemiology/ biostatistics, medicine, engineering, business administration, law, government or public policy from an accredited university required.
