Job Description
- By analyzing the therapeutic value of our cutting-edge drugs and their impact on health insurance budgets, suggest pricing and reimbursement strategies that ensure fair pricing and favorable conditions for patients in need;
- Develop long-term market analysis to create pricing and reimbursement plans that establish a competitive edge for our products over competitors throughout their lifecycle;
- Adopt a customer-centric approach when dealing with price and reimbursement commissions and INAMI;
- Work closely with local and international teams from various departments such as External Affairs, Outcomes Research, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Medical, and Market Research to align on market access strategies, coordinate actions, and analyze relevant data:
- Lead local Price and Reimbursement cross-functional Teams;
- Assist in the optimal labeling of new products in collaboration with Regulatory Affairs and Product/Medical Affairs Managers for a smooth registration process;
- Aid in collecting and analyzing health outcome data to provide insights on the effectiveness and costs of medicines, facilitating payer decisions on resource allocations;
- Engage with price and reimbursement customers;
- Consult Key Scientific Leaders and patient organizations through collaborations with Medical, Patient Engagement, and Marketing teams.
- Prepare pricing application files and submit them for approval before reaching out to the Minister of Economic Affairs for fair pricing;
- Write reimbursement application files, submit them to the Minister of Social Affairs, and monitor their progress to ensure optimal reimbursement conditions for patients;
- Handle Pricing/Reimbursement Filing and Negotiation;
- Collaborate closely during all phases of file development and the price/reimbursement process.
Additionally, the Value and Patient Access Manager will:
- Contribute towards establishing sustainable public policies for healthcare access;
- Participate in strategic discussions regarding price and reimbursement analysis for the entire product portfolio;
- Work closely with the Public Policy Manager to influence access-related public policies, identify risks, and define priorities;
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in the BeLux region;
- Engage in a strategic dialogue on health price & reimbursement system indirectly or directly with P&R stakeholders, advocating for a fair and sustainable evolution of access laws;
- Exchange best practices with colleagues from different regions and follow progress on the EU level (e.g., EU HTA).
Your profile
- Possess a university degree, ideally in MD, pharmacy, sciences, pharmaco-economics, or related fields. A background in finance/business is also suitable;
- Have experience in the pharmaceutical industry, CRO, or healthcare organizations, which can be an advantage;
- Demonstrate experience in price and reimbursement management or collaborating closely with market access, with strong knowledge of price and reimbursement processes/regulations in specific regions;
- Exhibit a strong market access network and insight into market access environments and key customers;
- Show a keen interest in health policies and the healthcare system;
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch, French, and English, particularly strong writing skills in French (language used with Reimbursement Authorities);
- Display the ability to generate innovative solutions, influencing, negotiating with access stakeholders, and fostering a collaborative mindset.
