Duties:

  • Serves as the point of contact for the daytoday front office operations of a veterinary clinic. Coordinates with clinic management to establish clinic schedule and appointment availability.
  • Receives telephone calls and visitors to the clinic, determines the nature of call or visit, obtains identifying information, and verifies the patient's eligibility for treatment.
  • Updates the existing medical record or collects sufficient information to prepare new record. Provides concise accurate information to veterinary care provider on nature of the visit.
  • Dispenses medications, annotates prescriptions and refills prescriptions in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Serves as clinic ordering official and Government Purchase Cardholder. Processes purchasing documents. At various times, orders, receives, and inventories veterinary supplies and pharmaceuticals.
  • Completes biweekly payroll reports. Prepares and submits required end of month reports. Assists with preparation of the yearly clinical budget. Initiates personnel actions at the direction of management.

  • Ability to work occasional Saturdays for special events
  • Must be able to receive all mandated immunizations to work in a directpatient capacity and/or veterinary environment
  • Must not have an aversion to animals, blood, bodily fluids, animal tissues, strong odors, needles, or sharp instruments.
  • Federal agencies will request information regarding the COVID19 vaccination status of applicants for the purposes of implementing other workplace safety protocols, such as protocols related to masking, physical distancing, testing, travel, and quarantine.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Progressively work experience which demonstrates the knowledge and skills required to perform the duties of the position.
  • Basic computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Suite or equivalent.
  • Experience in using a point of sales software.
  • Basic arithmetic expertise to balance cash draw, accept payments and provide change accurately.
  • Typing proficiency 40WPM.

Best Qualified Criteria:

  • Clerical experience in a Veterinary Clinic or equivalent or working in an outpatient medical facility/operations as clericaladministrative support.

  • Local commuting area is defined as Chievres, Belgiumsurrounding area within 50mile radius; in addition to, you are considered eligible if one of the following applies: 1) you live outside of this area and are able to commute to work on a daily/as needed basis, 2) you are able to relocate yourself on your own expenses, 3) you are an involuntarily separated military member, or 4) you are a military spouse relocating to this installation

Salary Information:

Salary is pro-rated based on a 40 hour work week

Hourly salary is:

  • NF03 $15.25ph to $15.50ph ($31,827.00 to $32,349.
