The Global Head of Accounting & Treasury is part of the Finance & Legal team (approx. 40 members globally) and reports to the Chief Financial Officer.- Human8 currently has 28 legal entities in Europe, APAC, US and South Africa.- The Global Head of Accounting & Treasury has 4 direct reports: Head of EMEA accounting, Head of APAC accounting, Head of US accounting & the shared service center team lead in Romania. The accounting organisation consists out of 25+ people.

Responsibilities:

  • The key responsibility is to lead and develop the accounting team, improve consistent way of working & install good treasury practices.
  • Accurate & well organized monthly / quarterly / annual closings, tax & statutory compliance of all entities.
  • Monthly reporting in close cooperation with the consolidation manager.
  • Optimize cash management
  • Lead the yearly audit process in all entities.
  • Drive the further development of the regional accounting function and the harmonization of current accounting practices and methodologies.
  • Active engagement and lead of finance projects in close interaction with other stakeholders.
  • Followup on latest developments of accounting standards.
  • Train and develop the regional accounting teams.
  • Drive efficiency in shared service center.
  • Active participation in onboarding of new legal entities of acquired companies.
  • Drive simplification in our organisational set up (merge & close legal entities).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with your direct reports, internal colleagues, and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of BEGAAP and regulatory international reporting.
  • Strong Excel skills & ERP knowledge in an international environment (SAP, Oracle).
  • At least 10 years of experience in accounting in an international environment, and minimum 5 years of experience in managing international teams.
  • University degree in Accounting (& tax).
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion to develop people.
  • Demonstrate initiative and the ability to drive change into the business.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, process management, structural thinking and implementation skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills in a multicultural setting.
  • Ability to keep calm and composed under pressure with a friendly and positive outlook.
