We are looking for a
Manager Production Services Global Aviation
ISbased in Diegem, Belgium.

The main purpose of the role is to establish and maintain knowledge of both the aviation industry and information technology in order to be able to offer IT supply services to the DP DHL Group.


  • Start date will be on 1 April 2023 at the earliest.

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?:

  • Establish and execute a strategy for Aviation IT Services as the IT service provider ( Run services) to the DHL Express Global Aviation
  • Establish a portfolio of services, at prices competitive with the marketplace, to be offered to the business
  • Deliver, to the levels of service agreed by the customer, all services requested by customers and for the charges agreed
  • Establish mechanisms for understanding and responding to customer requirements and concerns raised by customers with services delivered
  • Provide endtoend service management (including nonmanaged third party vendors) and be the point of last resort for resolving all "run time" issues
  • Establish and maintain relationships with CIOs in Business IT, Principle Users in the Business functions to understand their
  • Requirements for IT services and any concerns they might have with service delivery
  • Represent Aviation IT Services, as required, to DHL Express customers, IT vendors, other IT service providers, and the media
  • Form strategic partnerships as required to execute the IT Strategy, with selected IT service providers including offshore vendors and, telecommunications vendors
  • Ensure representation on Program Boards and Steering committees of all stakeholders who may be impacted by key Change Programs or major Development Programs
  • Optimize the provision of Build services to the DHL Express while ensuring knowledge and experience are preserved for the business
  • Optimize the provision of Run services to the Group, while ensuring the security of information assets, the availability of the IT infrastructure, are preserved, and the level of technology used is current
  • Establish the level of quality of service delivery achieved by Aviation IT Services through industry independent measures
  • Lead employees in an extremely dynamic environment
  • Establish objectives, targets, and KPIs for the organization annually
  • Establish objective criteria for staff selection and career development mechanisms to increase the level of employees promoted from internal sources
  • Establish training programs to ensure the level of skills of IT Services employees is competitive with the market and meets the needs for service delivery in a demanding high technology environment

  • University degree in IT or Business.
  • 20 + years' professional IT experience: in several of the areas indicated under "overall tasks" in an international, heterogeneous corporation; also as a director of an IToriented company, with a multi million Euro budget
- of which, ca. 10 years' management experience
- of which, ideally experience at DP DHL in a business function as well as an IT role (either Demand or Supply)
