As part of the local finance team Belgium & Luxembourg, the Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Specialist contributes to budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, P&L analysis and reporting while ensuring that activities are compliant with company guidance and policies.

He / she is responsible for supporting business decision making and ensuring that financial targets are met by closely partnering with the local Business Units, the medical department, and the remote support center in Prague.

He / she is instrumental in utilizing extensive strategic financial and analytical expertise to deliver valuable insights, establish goals, and lead transformative initiatives that guarantee long-term business sustainability.


Position Description:

Under the guidance of the FP&A lead, the FP&A Senior Specialist will:

  • Support and coordinate the Financial Planning processes and activities (budget, forecasts, long-term plan).
  • Contribute to monthend closure activities (accruals quantification, reporting). Prepare monthly closing reports and perform outcomes analysis, including review of sales results, expense commitments and accruals.
  • Provide financial and analytical support for budget management, financial reporting, and forecasting processes. Analyze variances vs. budget / forecasts, explain causes, and propose corrective actions if applicable.
  • Manage daily sales reporting through close collaboration with the support center.
  • Support datadriven decision making by providing relevant adhoc financial analysis and insights to the Business Units and the Managing Director in order to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Contribute to resource allocation decisions that maximize value to patients and the enterprise.
  • Optimize use of dashboards, Power BI, SAP, and others analytical tools.
  • Pursue a culture of financial discipline, business integrity.
  • Influence and encourage areas of improvement, participate in specific projects (on local, regional, or global level).
  • Ensure that all activities are handled in line with the internal controls requirements and provide support during internal and external audits.
  • Challenge and drive continuous improvement of existing processes through optimization, standardization, and stability.

Your Profile:

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor/ Master degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, Business Engineering
  • Experience: 23 years of experience ideally in FP&A, controlling, audit, consulting, or management reporting role
  • Attention to details and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and data organization / interpretation skills
  • Proven ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Ability to influence, build and maintain diverse client and peer relationships
  • Motivation and selfdrive, excited by tackling challenges and proactively finding new ways to provide value
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry is an advantage

Languages:

  • Fluent in English
  • Additional knowledge of Dutch and/or French is preferred

Systems:

  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with SAP and planning systems (such as LPT/BPC) is an advantage
  • Experience with dataconsolidation tools and dashboards (PowerBI, Power Query, Qlick) is an advantage
