**Taken / verantwoordelijkheden**
Als **B**_usiness Applications Developer_** ben je betrokken bij de ontwikkeling van nieuwe applicaties, die gebruikt worden voor het optimaliseren en ondersteunen van de dagelijkse werking van onze internationale projecten. Dit kan gaan van het automatiseren van bepaalde standaardberekeningen, het maken van tools voor monitoring van bagger en offshore installatie schepen tot het opzetten van workflows rond data en kennisbeheer.
Vanuit je expertrol in databeheer, -analyse en -visualisatie verwerf je inzicht in de structuur van de organisatie en verzamel je feedback van onze eindgebruikers. Op basis van deze informatie verbeter je bestaande tools, breidt ze uit of ontwikkelt er nieuwe. Je maakt hierbij gebruik van het bestaande IT-ecosysteem, maar doet ook voorstellen voor optimalisaties en uitbreidingen waar nodig.
Je werkt vanuit onze vlot bereikbare kantoren te Aalst/Hofstade en maakt deel uit van onze PMO- of productieafdeling en ondersteunt van daaruit de internationale projecten. Voor technische ondersteuning kan je beroep doen op de centrale ICT-afdeling.

Je bent ingenieur en hebt een interesse en affiniteit in ICT en business applicaties. Je bent kritisch ingesteld en haalt voldoening uit het uitdenken, opzetten en verbeteren van business applicaties om bedrijfsdata inzichtelijk te maken..
Je bent leergierig, resultaatgericht en gaat nauwgezet te werk. Vanuit je analytisch vermogen kom je tot creatieve oplossingen. Je kan je vlot uitdrukken in het Nederlands en Engels.
Je hebt ervaring met VBA, Python, git, SQL en Power-BI. Een achtergrond in data-analyse en kennis van web-API's is een pluspunt.
