Software Developer - ALCMS Location: Zaventem, BelgiumContract type: Permanent

Job Summary:


As a Software Developer, you will participate in the support and development of the current Airfield Lighting and Control systems (ALCMS).

Your role will involve actively contributing to a global team of software developers in continuously enhancing the software platform. Responsibilities will include delivering first-call solutions to system engineers using the newly developed software tools in their projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Design efficient coding structures to ensure maximum performance, security, and reusability.
  • Utilize development tools such as Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, Azure DevOps, and Git effectively.
  • Create and maintain software documentation, including user guides, release notes, and technical documents.
  • Collaborate with software developers, product owners, project managers, quality engineers, and technical writers throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Stay up to date with current trends and technologies in the software development field.

Qualifications & Experiece required:

  • Bacherlor's/Masters Degree or equivalent
  • Interest in and a willingness to continiously learn new technologies is key in this role
  • Minimum of 35 years experience in software development, utilizing C# and the.
NET Framework

  • Interest in and a willingness to continiously learn new technologies is key in this role
  • Experience in C++ is an advantage
  • Experience in testing and other quality activities related jobs is a plus
  • Experience in setting up networks is an advantage
  • Experience in using Azure DevOps as working tool for Software planning is also an advantage
  • Knowledge working with cyber secuirty and hardening techniques is a plus

IT Skills:

  • User knowledge of Windows
  • User knowledge about Industrial Networks
  • User knowledge of C# and the.
NET Framework

  • MS Office + Project and Visio
  • User knowledge of C++
  • Working knowledge of Visual Studio and Software Development tools

Languages:

  • English
  • High level of professional proficiency requried
  • Multilingual work environment hence another European language will be an advantage
