Job description:
To support our fast and strong increasing number of projects, we're looking at expanding our dynamic team. Are you the Business Development Manager we're looking for to continue to grow this exciting business?
Department:
Donaldson' Vehicle Electrification & Medical Devices, is one of the divisions of Donaldson Europe's Life Science department. Within the VE&MD department we develop, manufacture and supply venting solutions that best meet our customer's requirements.
Properly designed venting systems provide protection from contaminants along with pressure equalization during normal operating conditions, helping lead to longer-lasting enclosures and battery life cycles.
The venting system must also be capable of providing immediate pressure relief, in the rare case of thermal runaway, to help avoid component failure or damage to additional cells.
Role and responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for an assigned group of OEM' and Tier1' active in the battery market with responsibility for acquisition and growth.
- Prospect and develop new global and regional key customers.
- Operates as the main point of contact for battery vent customers and new opportunities
- Prepare implementation plans and lead client onboarding; present content strategy and annual plan.
- Deliver monthly and quarterly status and results presentations to internal team to ensure a deep enough understanding of clients' status and needs.
- As Business Development Manager, you will grow and develop profitable sales in the automotive market, developing and managing long term project sales cycles.
- Your focus is to establish a solid network and strong business relations with existing and potential customers, in order to develop customers in Europe and global relationships in collaboration with USA and APAC teams
- You will generate and manage quotations and project management activities, in close collaboration with engineering, and assume global account manager responsibility for global accounts in your region.
- Being part of a fastgrowing team within Donaldson, you support marketing activities, needed to achieve the business unit's ambitions.
- Focus on ensuring we maintain superior customer service levels, operational excellence, and strategic insight
Qualifications:
- You have an engineering or commercial degree (or equivalent through experience) with strong technical interest. Your passion for technology and your common sense are considered equally valuable.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in long term project sales (preferably international).
- You are an outgoing, proactive and sales minded person, eager to grow and develop the market in your region. You are a wellprepared, dooropening relationshipbuilder and natural born networker.
- You combine team spirit with drive and positive attitude, are solution oriented and knows how to align external demands and internal resources to build long term business relations.
- You demonstrate project and account management skills as you will be playing a significant role in the whole sales process (engaging with engineering, R&D, purchasing).
- You are a selfstarter, able to work autonomously and willing to travel within Europe (30 to 40%). You are fluent in English (written and verbal) and able to conduct business in either French or German.
- This position is based in our office in Leuven-Heverlee (Belgium) or in Ostiglia (Italy).
