Je ondersteunt de Corporate Bankers International Trade Finance (ITF) zowel transactioneel als commercieel.
Je bent het transactionele aanspreekpunt voor een portefeuille van ITF klanten die voornamelijk actief zijn in 'commodity trading' d.w.z. de aankoop en verkoop van grondstoffen zoals metalen of koffie. Door je begrip van de complexiteit van grensoverschrijdende transacties en de daaraan verbonden risico's, voorzie je begeleiding en advies aan deze klanten over hoe ze hun handelstransacties kunnen structureren op een manier die de risico's beperkt en een tijdige betaling garandeert.
**De job in een notendop**
Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de dagelijkse transactionele opvolging van ITF klanten, d.w.z. het beheer van de kredietlijnen en daaraan gelieerde zekerheden, een correcte opvolging van betalingen én doorgedreven risicoanalyse op alle transacties.
Je team bestaat uit financiële experten binnen het domein van trade finance producten zoals documentaire kredieten, incasso's en bankgaranties en jouw rol hierin is zowel sturend als uitvoerend.
Een typische werkdag ziet er als volgt uit:
Samen met een lekkere kop koffie of thee maak je een up to date overzicht van de kasstromen en zekerhedenposities van de klanten; analyseer, structureer en keur je transacties goed volgens de aan jou toegekende delegatiebevoegdheden én in dit overleg met je collega's van Customer Support en of de Corporate Banker ITF. Tijdens en na de opmaak van deze posities beheer je de gezamenlijke mailbox om inkomende transacties te verwerken maar neem je ook telefonisch contact met ITF klanten om huidige of toekomstige transacties te bespreken. Fysieke klantenmeetings zijn eerder uitzondering. Er is regelmatig overleg met andere stakeholders binnen zowel Transaction Banking (Cash Management, Belfius Commercial Finance), alsook Corporate Banking, Risk en Compliance.
**Jij hoeft geen witte raaf te zijn**
Al kan je er bij ons wel één worden. Bij ons mag je volop je vleugels uitslaan als je iemand bent met:
- Minimaal een diploma niveau bachelor en/of werkervaring binnen Transaction of Corporate Banking.
- Kritische en analytische geest met het vermogen om krediet
- en internationale handelsrisico's te beoordelen alsook dat transacties worden uitgevoerd in overeenstemming met de geldende wet
- en regelgeving (=compliance).
- Goed georganiseerd, detailgericht en probleemoplossend in staat zijn deadlines te halen in de snelle en veeleisende omgeving van commodity trading
- Een drive om techno commerciële relaties op te bouwen en te onderhouden met klanten en interne stakeholders
Je scoort extra met:
- Drietaligheid (Nederlands/Frans/Engels)
- Algemene interesse in transactioneel management met commerciële impact
- Algemene interesse in macroeconomics en commodity trading
