**Voor een gewaardeerde klant in regio Gent zijn wij opzoek naar een ervaren Intrusion Detection Specialst.**

Als freelance Intrusion Detection Specialist ben je verantwoordelijk voor het monitoren van netwerken en systemen om mogelijke cyberaanvallen, malware en andere kwaadaardige activiteiten te detecteren. Je speelt een cruciale rol bij het waarborgen van de beveiliging bij onze opdrachtgever en het beschermen van hun gevoelige informatie.

**Verantwoordelijkheden**:

- Implementeren en beheren van geavanceerde intrusion detection-systemen.
- Proactief monitoren van netwerkverkeer en systeemlogboeken om verdachte activiteiten te identificeren.
- Analyseren van gedetecteerde dreigingen en het uitvoeren van diepgaande onderzoeken om de aard en omvang van inbreuken vast te stellen.
- Op tijd melden van incidenten aan het beveiligingsteam en actief bijdragen aan proactieve probleemoplossing.
- Voortdurend op de hoogte blijven van de nieuwste trends en ontwikkelingen op het gebied van cybersecurity en intrusion detection.

Vereisten:

- Aantoonbare ervaring als Intrusion Detection Specialist of vergelijkbare functies.
- Diepgaande kennis van netwerkprotocollen, beveiligingsapparatuur en softwaretools.
- Ervaring met verschillende intrusion detection-systemen zoals Snort, Suricata, Bro/Zeek, etc.
- Inzicht in de werking van malware en andere cyberbedreigingen.
- Analytische vaardigheden en het vermogen om complexe beveiligingsincidenten te onderzoeken.
- Certificeringen op het gebied van cybersecurity zijn een pluspunt (bijv. CompTIA Security+, CISSP, GIAC).
- Uitstekende communicatievaardigheden en het vermogen om technische informatie begrijpelijk over te brengen.
- Zelfgemotiveerd en in staat om zelfstandig te werken.
