YOUR TASKS
The duration of the contract is 6 months. In case of a positive evaluation, this period can be extended by one year.
In case of interest for pursuing a PhD, and after a positive evaluation, the position can be a stepping stone to a PhD position in the STEN Group.
Scientific findings should lead to publications in international peer-reviewed journals and be presented at international conferences.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Other profile requirements:
- You hold a master's degree in environmental engineering, bioscience engineering, chemical engineering, environmental science, environmental technology or equivalent.
- The degree requirements must be met at the start of the appointment;
- You have an interest in scientific research;
- You can operate both independently and in a multidisciplinary team;
- You have organisational/managerial skills and are highly motivated;
- You have good writing and presentation skills;
- You master the English language, written and orally, in an academic context;
- Having experience with quantitative and/or qualitative research is essential;
- Additional plus points:
- You have experience with LCA software such as SimaPro, openLCA, GaBi, etc., and (social) LCA databases (e.g. ecoinvent, PSILCA, SHDB);
- You have experience with the development and comparison of different scenarios;
- You have experience with life cycle costing studies.
- You have experience with chemical or enzymatic production.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU
- We offer you a contract of definite duration for the period of 6 months (extension is possible).
- Your contract will start on 1/03/2023 at the earliest.
- Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale WM1 to WM4 (if you hold a Master's degree). Click here for more information about our salary scales.
