We are looking for a new colleague in System Engineering department (IWDA5) at our location in Lommel, Witten or Antwerpen.
ZF Wind Power puts wind energy in motion The ZF Wind Power Business Unit is part of ZF group which is known as one of the world's leading automotive suppliers.
Within our unit we develop, validate and service gear units used in wind turbines producing sustainable energy and we have been doing this for more than 40 years Today we build new drivetrain solutions to meet the requirements of the future.
As wind turbines continue to grow, we are continuously pushed outside of our engineering boundaries, which makes it a challenging engineering environment to work in.
Your tasks as Strength Assessment Expert (M/F/d):
- Responsible for the strength calculation approaches for cast-iron and steel components in alignment with the material and quality experts of ZF IW.
- Technical lead of all strength assessment related tasks within the technology department
- Development of new strength assessment approaches with focus on cast iron
- Participation on external forums, idea screening and reviewing calculation reports.
Your profile as Strength Assessment Expert(M/F/d):
- Master 's Degree Continuum Mechanics, Mechanical or Materials Engineering with focus on static and fatigue strength assessment approaches, especially for casting materials
- Professional Experience in area, PhD preferred
- Very good knowledge on probabilistic safety concepts
- Member of a multicultural R&D team with interaction to suppliers, research partners and customers
- Teamplayer, Openminded, creative and communicative
- Fluent English (Dutch and German are a plus)
