Web Operation Manager (WOM) for our prestigious partner DIGIT TM (DG Informatics)
in Brussels. DIGIT-TM is a contract from the European Commission for IT services across Europe.

As
Web Operation Manager (WOM) you will be responsible for:

  • Production, maintenance and revision of the Quality Plan (QP)
  • Production, maintenance and revision of the Security Plan (SP)
  • Production, maintenance and revision of Support Processes Description (QP)
  • Internal Quality Assurance (QA), internal Quality Control (QC), Risk Management, Internal Auditing, Self-Assessment (SA)
  • Coordination with DG CLIMA and with all other project stakeholders (UNFCC, Application development contractor, DIGIT, Mobile communication providers,etc.)
  • Weekly Progress & Service Reporting (MPR/MSR), Consolidated Monthly report (CMR) and Report on Demand
  • Maintenance of the planning of the contractor's activities
  • Cooperation with the Commission during Quality, Process and Security Audits
  • Takeover
  • Handover
  • Application Development (ITSM tools supporting the Service Desk activity)
  • Atlassian JIRA administration
  • Application Management
  • Security Management
  • ICT Infrastructure Management
  • Planning to Implement Service Management
  • Extended time coverage for IT Service Management
  • Training / Workshops / Training material
  • Development, maintenance and revision of Web based E-Learning Modules
  • Development, maintenance and revision of Documentation (Webbased and hardcopy format)
  • Development, maintenance and revision of Web based knowledge base for the Support Level 1 (L1) and 2 (L2) end users, including via wiki
  • Development of interactive tools
  • Development, maintenance and revision of knowledge base for the Service Desk
  • Execution of Tasks on behalf of DG CLIMA (UI translation, request of information to MS and compilation of inputs, functional tests, Running DB queries )
  • Communication to the Member States (MS)

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

  • Bachelor degree of 3 years.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
The following skills and knowledge are required, in addition to those indicated for the relevant profile under the DIGIT-TM II Service requirements:

  • Proven experience of delivering user support/web operations management to IT systems;
- proven experience with IT secure systems;
- proven experience with Atlassian JIRA;
- a customer-oriented and proactive attitude, excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills;
- the ability to take decisions quickly, work under pressure and deal effectively with critical situations;
- the ability to deal with and integrate in a multicultural/international environment;
- excellent English, both spoken and written.


Any recent experience with the European Commission in assignments similar to the ones detailed in this request will be considered as an asset.


  • Rapid selfstarting capability and experience in working in team;
  • Ability to participate in multilingual meetings;
  • Ability to work in multicultural environment, on multiple large projects;
  • Excellent Team Player;

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE
In addition to the above, the following specific expertise is an advantage for the performance of tasks:

  • at least 3 years of specific expertise in ITIL methodology
