Equans in Hoboken is seeking a Head of Projects (Offshore Wind).

In line with the Equans Offshore division strategy, the selected candidate will plan, organize, lead, coordinate, and control various activities to ensure excellence in project delivery. The responsibilities include:

  • Project management activities
  • Construction and operations activities in Hoboken yard and Offshore
  • Planning, cost control, and risk management
  • Resource development and management based on the execution strategy

  • Project Management:
    - Oversee project management processes in a structured manner.
    - Lead project managers in a supportive and coaching manner.
    - Implement and report on project KPIs and milestones.
    - Focus on cost and contractual aspects.
    - Prepare monthly project management review meetings.
    - Collaborate with other discipline leads for optimal project processes and knowledge management.
  • Construction:
    - Organize safe and efficient works on the substation.
    - Coordinate all activities on the substations.
    - Manage transportation and lifting processes.
    - Work closely with the engineering team for timely project deliveries.
  • Project Controls:
    - Ensure a robust cost control process.
    - Plan projects effectively for successful delivery.
    - Manage project risks efficiently.
  • Projects Department:
    - Lead and develop a team of project directors, managers, and engineers.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills:

  • Masters degree in engineering.
  • Relevant experience in construction or energy sectors with expertise in EPC contracts.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in an international setting.
  • Strong knowledge of EPC projects, construction, and procurement.
  • Ability to manage client relationships and partnerships effectively.
  • Proficiency in English, Dutch, and ideally French.
