Your skills and experience

• Enrolled student in Computer Science, Networking / IT, preferably in a Masters program
• Interest in distributed systems and big data processing
• Interest in IP Networks
• Demonstrable experience with Python is required
• Experience with any of the languages is a plus: C/C++, Rust, Go, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, MySQL
• Experience with Linux, GIT, Docker is a plus
• Autonomous, proactive and the innovative attitude

Possibilities in Deepfield R&D:

Extend the Deepfield DDoS attack lab to validate DDoS detection and mitigation:

• You will learn how to use the Deepfield proprietary traffic generation tools
• You will learn how to set up a reference network
• You will learn how the Deepfield appliance works
• You will add functionality to the traffic generator and/or the lab infrastructure tools to make the lab even more realistic and complete
• You will integrate traffic generation, the network and the Deepfield platform into a solution which can both run in the lab (physical machines) as well as in the cloud (AWS EC2)

Join the Qualification team and be responsible for quality of the entire product:

• You launch multiple network attacks (DDoS) in a controlled lab environment and verify that Deepfield detects and mitigates them
• As part of the Antwerp team, you will be involved in the development and verification of the network security features of the Deepfield appliance.
• You will develop endtoend tests in Python using the Behave framework, and Selenium for UI automation.
• You will also help developing unit and integration tests in Python using unittest and pytest frameworks.
• And you will verify the quality of the features being developed, investigate failures, identify and report issues.

Join the development team and take part in the development of the upcoming features:

• As part of the Antwerp team, you will be involved in the development and testing of the network security features of the Deepfield system.
• You will participate in the development of the new features, in Python: developing but also writing unit and integration tests.
