The Brussel's Team
We are looking for a Director (Healthcare) to join our Brussels team.
Our work is fast-paced, European and global in scope.
We seek a highly motivated individual who brings a real passion for public affairs and communications and with a solid experience in healthcare communications and policy.
The individual should also have the ability to develop and deliver impactful communications strategies and campaigns.
You will be responsible for providing day-to-day leadership, sound management and strategic direction in both the development of new strands of business activity and the serving of existing high-level and prestigious clients in healthcare and other sectors.
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide senior counsel and strategic advice to clients.
- Successfully manage client account budgets and team workloads, ensuring appropriate levels of account profitability.
- Contribute actively to the overall new business strategy and operations of the company.
- Provide leadership, direction, support, encouragement and opportunities for professional development to members of your client and new business teams.
- Promote the Portland brand in the marketplace.

Your profile:
- You have proven experience in communications and/or public affairs, with significant proven experience and knowledge of the healthcare industry and healthcare issues
- You thrive on managing complex issues and projects and also have a good understanding of the EU policymaking process;
- With proven experience of leading highprofile accounts, you are used to managing multiple accounts, especially in the healthcare/pharmaceutical/ Biotechnology sector;
- With sound political judgment, strong analytical skills and excellent written and oral communication skills in English, you have the ability and confidence to serve demanding public and private sector clients at the highest levels;
- Commercially driven and ambitious, you have proven ability to build relationships and spot opportunities;
- You have proven ability to manage, mentor and inspire staff and develop talented teams in a fastgrowing environment;
- You are entrepreneurial, willing to take risks, with a logical, creative and flexible approach to solve problems, and an enthusiastic 'cando' attitude.
- You have a strong understanding and knowledge of the latest trends on social media and how to use it in a professional setting;
- You can write coherent, easytounderstand texts on complex topics
