Profiel en ervaring:
- Je beschikt over een Master
- of PhD diploma in de computer-, ingenieurs
- of industriële wetenschappen. Andere master of doctoraatsdiploma's komen ook in aanmerking indien je voldoende kennis van het onderwerp en onderzoekservaring hebt.
- Je hebt ervaring met onderzoek of werken in een R&D context binnen de ICT of brede IoT sector.
- Je hebt kennis van softwareontwikkeling en gebruikelijke ontwikkelomgevingen w.o. LowCode [NodeRed, Mendix, OutSystems,.. ) voor wetenschappelijke, industriële en andere toepassingsdomeinen waarbij het vergaren van data afkomstig van IoT devices [Internet connected devices], data processing en visualisatie een belangrijk onderdeel zijn.
- Kennis of sterke interesse in IoT communicatie technologie en IoT hard
- en softwareontwikkeling is een pluspunt.
- Je hebt bij voorkeur ervaring met het uitschrijven van projectaanvragen en het coördineren van projecten, of bent bereid om je daarin te professionaliseren.
- Je bent in staat om een goed zicht te ontwikkelen op de opportuniteiten en uitdagingen van IoT en je kan daardoor nieuwe onderzoeksprojecten identificeren en samenwerkingen realiseren.
- Je bent in staat om fundamentele kennis (theorieën en methodieken) te combineren met toegepaste kennis, om zo tot praktische oplossingen en inzichten te komen welke bruikbaar zijn voor het werkveld (bedrijven).
- Je bent in staat om cross-overs te maken tussen verschillende domeinen zowel tech. (automotive, maakindustrie, chemie,) als non-tech (zorg, sport, retail,).
- Je beantwoordt aan het profiel van de Thomas More-medewerker.
Inhoud van de opdracht:
Bij Thomas More willen we inzetten op onderzoek over, en (door)ontwikkeling van, innovaties binnen de IoT/Elektronica - ICT sector, waaronder:
- Ontwikkeling van IoT applicaties voor diverse toepassingsdomeinen.
- LowCode platformen aanwenden voor diverse applicaties.
- Validatie van nieuwe draadloze communicatie standaards op embedded devices in reële settings (on-site bij ondernemingen).
We zijn voor de verdere opbouw van ons team op zoek naar een onderzoeker die zich wil specialiseren in praktijkgericht onderzoek, uitvoeren en (op termijn) coördineren van onderzoeksprojecten. Je draagt bij aan kennistransfer naar de praktijk (bijvoorbeeld door dienstverlening). Je bouwt een netwerk op en boort nieuwe opportuniteiten aan voor Thomas More. Je zorgt voor kennisopbouw rond elektronica binnen en buiten de hogeschool. Je komt terecht in een dynamische leer
- en werkomgeving waar je de kans krijgt om elke dag mee te werken aan innovaties, waar je je kennis en competenties kan ontwikkelen en kan delen met collega's, studenten, bedrijven en organisaties.
Jouw taken:
- Je verricht praktijkgericht onderzoek in de domeinen van IoT, ICT en elektronica. Je werkt in multidisciplinaire projecten met andere onderzoekers, partners uit het werkveld en met de opleidingen van Thomas More. Je doet onder andere onderzoek naar IoT en LowCode binnen tech. en non-tech domeinen.
- Je verkent de mogelijkheden van subsidieaanvragen en stelt samen met een projectteam projectvoorstellen op voor nieuw onderzoek.
- Je communiceert en verspreidt resultaten, en je vertaalt ze naar bruikbare toepassingen voor het werkveld (ondernemingen).
- Je verleent medewerking aan dienstverlening.
- Je bent een enthousiaste ambassadeur van Thomas More en breidt het netwerk van contacten van de onderzoeksgroep verder uit.
- Je wilt topkwaliteit realiseren en met het team bouwen aan de groei van de onderzoeksgroep.
- Je werkt samen met studenten en docenten uit de opleidingen en draagt zo bij tot state-of-the art onderwijs bij Thomas More.
