What you'll do

Portfolio and Project Controlling is a department within our client, responsible for the Group wide controlling of Enterprise projects.

These (mostly IT related) projects have a transversal nature (several departments are involved) and require a central monitoring of budgets and resources.


This mission offers the opportunity to learn about a structured process for managing a project portfolio within a larger international company and to participate in various improvement projects around this.

These processes and improvement activities are done in close collaboration with our colleagues in Germany.

An integrated tool (Sciforma) is currently being implemented to better support our processes and in combination with SAP, provides a single source of truth at Group level

  • Provide support to the digital transformation office, program and project managers and other stakeholders such as Management or Business Portfolio Officers during the arbitrage and reporting processes:
  • Clarify the process and associated templates
  • Challenge the submitted documents on quality (complete, correct)
  • Participate in the Portfolio Committee meetings (1 meeting per committee per quarter)
  • Assist in the preparation of these committees (analyzing the data, preparing Powerpoint presentations)
  • Follow up on the open actions
  • Ensure consistent and coherent data management by performing the necessary checks on the information that resides in the various systems and taking action when necessary
  • Support our customers in the use of our tools (Sciforma/SAP) that support the DTO and GC processes related to portfolio, program and project / product management
Who we're looking for

  • Functional Competencies:
  • Specific prior experience as a financial controller is required
  • A proven knowledge of (IT) portfolio and project methodology or experience in a similar position
  • Technical competencies:
  • Fluency in working with MS Office: Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook and MS Teams
  • Able to pick up new tools quickly and efficiently
  • Languages:
  • Active command of English (oral, written)
  • Passive knowledge of the second national language (is able to follow a conversation)
  • Soft skills:
  • Is socially competent
  • Acts in a professional manner
  • Can work independently (mínimal supervision)

What you'll get

Duration: 24 months with possible extension.

Localisation:
Brussels Centre & 3 days/week of homeworking

permanent contract as a Consultant :a salary in line with the market and your experience with competitive fringe benefits.
